Collingswood Community Theatre

The Collingswood Community Theatre began production in August, 2002 thanks to the hard work, sweat and tears of Mary Baldwin at the urging and with the support of the Mayor and Commissioners of Collingswood. Mary directed the theater program at Collingswood High School and Middle School for 12 years before jumping at the chance to join the town in their efforts to bring more theater to the community.

CCT stages 4-5 productions per year and shows run the gamut, from large musicals, small dramas and comedies. Productions are staged in 3 venues in town - the Community Center, the Grand Ballroom and the Scottish Rite Auditorium, a 75 year old theater that seats 1,000+. All facilities are handicapped accessible.

Collingswood Community Theatre also stages an annual Cabaret show to benefit 2 local theatre-related scholarship funds: the Barbara Reilly Memorial Scholarship and the Lorna Earle Memorial Scholarship. Approximately $1,500 is raised at the annual event to be shared by the scholarship funds.

All cast members are residents of Collingswood, NJ (a must!) and casts range from small productions with only 6 performers to All-Town Musicals with over 100 performers on stage! Ages of cast members range from 8 years to 80+. Some shows are comprised of mixed age casts, some are all adult productions and some are our younger performers.
